Obituary for Dorothy Jones Helmintoller Dorothy Jones Helmintoller
First Christian Church Member Was Former H. O. Canfield Employee

Dorothy Jones Helmintoller, age 95, of 744 Glen Wilton Road, Eagle Rock, Virginia died Friday, May 7, 2021 at her residence.

She was born September 28, 1925 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Robert Hamilton Jones and Bettie Ann Simmons Jones.

She was a laborer for H. O. Canfield.

She was a member of First Christian Church in Covington and the Women of the Moose in Clifton Forge.

She enjoyed going to church and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Elwood Helmintoller; a daughter, Patty Dawn Helmintoller Seibel; two sisters; and a brother.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry McCoy and husband, Robert of Roanoke; two sons, Alvin Helmintoller of Glen Wilton and Wayne Lindsay and wife, Brenda of Iron Gate; six grandchildren, Traci Spencer, Melinda Hinkle and husband, "R.J.", Josh Lindsay, Terry Windsor and wife, Rebecca, Michael Seibel and wife, Maggie, and Jessica LeeAnne Lee; nine grandchildren; and two nephews.

The family would like to thank Mountain Regional Hospice for their excellent care.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery in Botetourt County with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call anytime at the residence or during normal business hours at Nicely Funeral Home.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice Volunteers, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
