Vittorio Giuseppe (Victor) Cucci, 68, of 2319 Dressler Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Thursday night, May 13, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke.

Victor was born July 9, 1952 in Carini, Sicily, a son of the late Giuseppe and Angelina Taormina Cucci.

Before coming to the United States, Victor served two years in the Italian Army. He came to Covington with his wife in 1977 and opened Cucci's Pizzeria restaurant.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and having them involved in the restaurant. He was proud to be a member of this community.

Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Janet Henry Cucci of Covington; two sons, Giuseppe Cucci and Emily Dimon and Marco and Kathy Cucci, all of Covington; four grandchildren, Vittorio "Gage" Cucci, Vivian A. Cucci, Ella Cucci and Luca Cucci, all of Covington; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Salvatore and Lena Cucci of California and Maurizio "Joe" and Shari Cucci of Roanoke; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucrezia and Franco D'Arpa and Josephine and Larry O'Rourke, all of Covington; and Maria and Luciano Amerio of Sicily; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

The family will have a gathering to receive their friends on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
