Glenda Spellman Murray, 70, of Covington, Virginia, died Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home.

Mrs. Murray was born December 10, 1950, the daughter of the late Glenn and Janie Landrum Spellman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Kemper Murray.

She retired as the Assistant Manager of the former Peebles department store in Covington.

Surviving are her son, Shayne Carter-Murray and Hailey Thomas of Covington; her daughter, Shannon Gwin and her husband, Matthew of Hot Springs; her brother, Lance Spellman of Covington; and two grandchildren, Wyatt Gwin and Saige Gwin.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the graveside in Alleghany Memorial Park with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia, is in charge of arrrangements.
