Obituary for Robert Lee (Robbie) Paitsel Robert Lee (Robbie) Paitsel
Covington Resident Dies At Age 64

Mr. Robert Lee (Robbie) Paitsel, age 64, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, May 23, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Paitsel was born October 16, 1956 in Covington, the son of the late Marshall Donald Paitsel and Helen Francis Plott Paitsel.

A lifetime resident of this community, he was employed as a driver by Radar Transportation.

Robbie enjoyed hunting, drag racing and being at Crystal Forest Lodge with Pat and all of his friends. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and attending family events but most of all, he loved the "free food".

Mr. Paitsel is survived by a son, Joshua Lee Hoover (Rachael Bryant); a granddaughter, Hailey Hoover Lutz; a brother, Michael Dale Paitsel and wife, Tammy of Covington; a sister, Dreama Sue "Susie" Paitsel Swink of Covington; five nephews, Scott Paitsel, Brian Paitsel, Chad Paitsel, Justin Paitsel and Adam Swink; a niece, Tiffany Workman; a number of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; and his beloved fur friend, Smokey Bear.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Paitsel was preceded in death by a son, Todd Anthony Paitsel; a granddaughter, Journee Hoover and three brothers, Donald Wayne Paitsel, David Allan Paitsel and James Richard Paitsel.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Alleghany Memorial Park with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
