Mr. Gary Melvin Persinger, age 68, of Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, June 6, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor.

Mr. Persinger was born September 26, 1952 in Virginia, the son of the late Ronnie Campbell and Opal Persinger Sizemore Campbell.

He had been employed as a custodian by the former Alleghany Regional Hospital.

Mr. Persinger was an avid football fan who enjoyed cheering on his beloved Washington Redskins. Also, Gary loved watching professional wrestling as well as watching westerns especially ones featuring John Wayne on television.

Mr. Persinger is survived by a brother, Chuckie Tingler; two sisters, Linda Rose and Shirley Persinger; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
