Millboro Handyman Dies At Age 27

Matthew Franklin Howard, 27, of Millboro, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 in Alleghany County, Virginia.

He was born June 8, 1993 in Alleghany County, the son of Stanford Howard of Millboro and Tonya Marlene Keyser Howard and fiancé, Steven Grose of Hot Springs, Virginia.

He was a handyman and worked at all types of carpentry work.

Matthew liked to hang out with his friends and have fun. He enjoyed going to the river, swimming, and playing his game systems. He enjoyed taking his dog, "Perky" for walks. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, David Howard of Millboro; a sister, Madison Grace Bennett of Hot Springs and special nieces, Lakyn and Nevaeh Howard whom he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis Lee Keyser.

A graveside service will be conducted 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Bill Graham officiating.

The McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, Hot Springs, is in charge of arrangements.
