Theresa Fridley Martin, 67, of 116 Fort Apache Dr., Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, June 26, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Martin was born October 30, 1953, in Covington, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Alma Frances Usery Fridley.

She retired in 2019 after 33 years of service with the Covington Police Department as a dispatcher.

She was a member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Greg Martin of Covington; two sons, Richard Martin of Tucker, GA and Dennis Martin and his wife, Cindy of Covington; four grandchildren, Alex Martin and Ethan Martin, both of Covington and Abigail Martin and Jasper Martin, both of Conyers, GA; a niece, Christina Fridley, a nephew Michael Fridley and a close friend, Barbara Fridley.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before service and following the service at the family cabin at 205 Fort Apache Dr.

The family suggests memorial donations in Mrs. Martin's name be made to the American Cancer Society at P. O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
