Joyce Margaret (Patsy) Broughman, age 80, of 5385 Blackwater Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia, died Saturday, July 10, 2021 at her daughters residence.

She was born February 18, 1941 in Selma, Virginia to the late Leonard Edward Paitsel and Catherine Josephine Broughman Paitsel.

She was a computer analyst for Bank of America.

Patsy loved working in her fairy garden and spending time with family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Oliver Broughman, Jr.; two sisters, Caroline Morgan and Phyllis Kay; two brothers, Billy Paitsel and Sonny Paitsel. She is survived by four daughters, Carol Moore and husband Ricky of Spotsylvania, Jeanette Tucker of Clifton Forge, Karen Johnson of Houston, TX, and Kimberly Wheat and husband James of Virginia Beach; two sons, Jason Johnson of Virginia Beach and Randall Broughman and wife Heidi of Waynesboro; three sisters, Shelia McKinley of Tennessee, Lisa Herring of Virginia Beach and Linda Spinks of Selma; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; her special companions, Brandy and Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Thomas McHenry officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Nicely Funeral Home.
