Patricia Gail Rakes McGuire of Clifton Forge, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 9, 2021.

She was born January 4, 1959 in Covington, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Painter Rakes and father, Wilson Mitchell Rakes.

She is survived by her husband, Jerome McGuire; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Brian Hawse of Portsmouth, Virginia; a son, Jason McGuire and significant other, Stacy Smith of Covington, Virginia; two grandsons she loved very much, Ian Hawse and Ryan McGuire; and her best friend since childhood, Mary Childs Parlier of Olin North Carolina.

She was an organ donor, as it was important to her to make a difference in someone else's life when she left this world.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no services at this time.
