Obituary for Curtis Lee (Jess) Linkenhoker Curtis Lee (Jess) Linkenhoker
"Jack Of All Trades" Was Covington Resident

Curtis Lee (Jess) Linkenhoker, age 80, of Covington, Virginia, died July 13, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Alleghany.

Mr. Linkenhoker was born December 6, 1940 in Virginia, the son of the late Thomas Edgar Linkenhoker, Sr. and Elsie Mae Dillon Linkenhoker.

During his working career, he was self employed as a carpenter and a "jack of all trades".

Curtis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved to listen to bluegrass and country music.

Mr. Linkenhoker is survived by three brothers, Ronald Linkenhoker, Gary Linkenhoker and Lewis Linkenhoker; two sisters, Gay Megginson and Brenda Cartwright; a special caregiver, McKinely "Cookie" Ray and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Linkenhoker was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas Linkenhoker, Jr., Carl Linkenhoker and Donald Linkenhoker and his sister, Linda Craig.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
