Obituary for Hallie Miller Dressler Hallie Miller Dressler
Covington Native Worked With Hercules, AET; Was McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church Member

Hallie Miller Dressler, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 5, 2021.

She was born in Covington, Virginia on July 5, 1928, a daughter of the late James W. and Bonnie Baker Miller.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband E. C. "Doodlebug" Dressler in 2008; one son, Dusty Lowen in 1996; a stepson, Sammy Dressler; brothers, Harry Miller, Earl Miller, and Gerald Miller.

Hallie was a graduate of Covington High School and retired from Hercules, Inc. and AET, Inc.

She was a member of the McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Pat Lowen Bowling and Aubrey and Cindee Lowen Stinnett and George, both of Covington; grandchildren, Scott Daily and wife, Tanya of Covington, Amy Stinnett Bunch and husband, Delton, of North Carolina; two great-grandchildren, Sierra Daily Stanfield and husband, Luke of Richmond, and William Joshua Daily of Covington; a step-daughter, Jeannie Dressler Fisher and her children, Billy Bowling of Arizona, and Sabrina Bowling of California; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robbie Miller and Dreama of Covington, Freddie Miller and Carol of West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Shirley Miller of Georgia; and several special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Monday August 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating assisted by Rev. Jim Moss.

The interment will follow at Alleghany Memorial Park.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorial donations be made in Mrs. Dressler's name to the McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church at 900 N. Alleghany Ave., Covington, VA 24426 or Mountain Regional Hospice at P. O. Box 637 Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
