Appalachian Electronics Retiree Was Sunrise Chapel United Methodist Church Member

Geneva (Jean) Madeline Parker, 87, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 10, 2021 at Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg.

Born on September 24, 1933 in Beaver, WV, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Nelson Underwood and Lola Mae Pack Underwood.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. "Dagg" Parker, Sr.; a grandchild, Ashley Parker; sister, Mildred Parker and a brother, Fred Jackson Underwood.

Jean was a member of the Sunrise Chapel United Methodist Church of Clintonville.

She was a former 4-H leader. She retired from Appalachian Electronics and in her spare time she loved her garden, quilting and sewing.

Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Kim Parker of Clintonville; two sons, Donald (Debbie) E. Parker, Jr., of Lewisburg, Charlie (Tricia Lynn) Parker of Smoot; grandchildren: Michael, Brittany and Kelly Parker, Josh (Kristen) Parker, Courtney Parker, Samantha (Chris) Hicks, Abby (Chase) Bryant and Ty Nickell; great grandchildren: Dakota Parker, Kameron Parker, Kadin Parker, Hudsyn Hicks, Quinnley Hicks, and Knox Bryant. She also leaves behind her special caregiver, Kathy Remley.

Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Sunrise Chapel United Methodist Church, Clintonville, with Pastor Penny Bivens officiating. Entombment will follow at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum, Clintonville. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the church.
