Obituary for David Wayne Hoover David Wayne Hoover
Longtime H&M Electric Electrician Was Indiana Native

Mr. David Wayne Hoover, age 67, of Covington, Virginia, died Thursday, August 26, 2021 at his residence.

He was the husband of Virgie May Hoover.

Mr. Hoover was born November 4, 1953 in Indiana, the son of the late James Lawrence Hoover, Sr. and Katherine Loving Hoover.

He was employed as an electrician by H&M Electric for forty-three years.

In his spare time, he loved going deep-sea fishing and enjoyed camping with his family and friends.

David was a member of the Covington Moose Lodge #610 L.O.O.M.

In addition to his wife, Virgie, Mr. Hoover is survived by two sons, Daniel D. Hoover and wife, Krista Morris; and David D. Hoover; a granddaughter, Alivia Hoover; three brothers, Randall L. Hoover and wife, Shelly, James L. Hoover and wife, Patricia, Gary A. Hoover and wife, Judy; his beloved dog, "Baby Girl"; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hoover was preceded in death by a brother, Richard E. Hoover.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Rev. Carl "Shorty" Wolfe officiating.

Pallbearers will be Ernie Griffith, Tim Webb, Charlie Vise, Jimmy Hoover, Gary Hoover and Randy Hoover.

The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes to Mountain Regional Hospice, P. O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 and Alleghany Humane Society, 9313 Rich Patch Road, Covington, VA 24426.
