Clifton Forge Resident Dies At Age 91

Mary Frances Hinkley Blount Little, age 91, of 800 W. Main Street, Apartment 202 Ridgeview, Clifton Forge, Virginia, and formerly of Christiansburg, Virginia died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.

Mary was born February 12, 1930 in Montgomery County, Virginia to the late William Henry and Mary Fannie McGuire Hinkley.

She was a homemaker throughout her life and a longtime member of Grace Brethren Church in Riner. She also enjoyed her church family at Central Advent Christian Church and Clifton Forge Presbyterian Church.

She loved gardening, sewing, sharing her faith, and spending time with her family. She was a constant supporter of Boys Town, USA and Feed the Children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Lewis Blount and her second husband, Clayton Little.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Jane Anderson of Dublin, Charles Harry "Charlie" Blount and wife, Nikki of Killeen, TX, John William "Billy" Blount and wife, Reva of Willis, and Mary Melissa Cantrell and husband, Jeff of Clifton Forge; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends in Christiansburg.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Brokaw and Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 p.m. in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends attending the service.

Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, is handling arrangements.
