David Eugene Sage, Jr., age 54, of Millboro, Virginia died Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

He was born September 1, 1967 in Mississippi to the late David Eugene and Patsy Sage.

He was an inspector for Deep Water Subsea and a member of Millboro Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Betty Carolyn Raymond-Sage of Millboro; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Mary Kittrell of Millboro; step son, Marcus Stanley Raymond and wife, Sandi of Covington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Olen and Betsy Mabry, Rachel Scarbrough, Martha Morgan, and Sarah and Tommy Sullivan; five grandchildren, Lucas Raymond, Harmony Raymond, Joseph Raymond, Garreth Raymond, and Arrow Raymond; nine nieces and nephews, Brooke McMullen, Kelsey Bondurant, Sylvia James, Nicole Wilson, Jed Mabry, Joshua Carter, Jacob Sullivan, Samuel Sullivan, and Damion McMullan; as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Millboro Christian Cemetery, Millboro, with Pastor Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call during business hours at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia.
