John Paul Hyler, Jr., age 77, of 440 Lipsey Lane, Low Moor, Virginia died Sunday, September 26, 2021 at his residence.

He was born April 3, 1944 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late John Paul Hyler, Sr. and Edith Tyler Hyler.

He served in the United States Army, and was a carman for CSX Transportation.

He loved yard work and playing gospel music and guitar. He belonged to several musical groups, Fishers of Men, The Announcers, and Faith, and was a member of Midway Community Christian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Hyler.

He is survived by his wife, Pasty Hyler of Low Moor; two sons, Harold Hyler and wife, Cynthia and Keith Hyler and wife, Sonja; two sisters, Betty Hyler and Patsy Mottley; four grandchildren, Travis Hyler, Brittney Hyler, Ailsa Hyler, and Jessica Altice; a great grandson, Ryland Hyler and a number of nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Jessica Hannah.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Mike Fisher officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call any time during normal business hours at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
