Obituary for Raymond (Richard) Roach Raymond (Richard) Roach
Retired Mechanic Was Lewisburg Baptist Church Member

Raymond (Richard) Roach, 83, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV surrounded by loved ones.

Born August 31, 1938 in Fort Spring, WV, he was the son of the late Raymond William and Florence Mamie Persinger Roach.

Richard was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church.

He loved to hunt and work on vehicles.

In 2006 he retired from the WV Department of Highways as a mechanic.

His pride and joy was his kitty cat, Turkey, aka Baby Girl.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Sprouse and sisters, Nancy Mankins, Louise Rigsby and Alma Sandsberg.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Betty Roach; son, Randy Roach of Covington, VA; granddaughter, Amanda Mosley (Chris) of Staunton, VA; sister, Helen Ann; sisters-in-law, Alice Alderman of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Aggie Thomas (Kenny) of Lewisburg, WV; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.

Funeral service swill follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV.

We will be following COVID-19 precautions and ask that guests wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
