Obituary for Leslie Wayne Mayo Leslie Wayne Mayo
Alleghany County Native Was Glenwood Holiness Church Member

Leslie Wayne Mayo, 84, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Friday, September 24, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 10, 1937 in Alleghany County, a son of Gene Warren Mayo and Garnett Long Mayo.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Milliner Mayo; brothers, Gene Mayo, Jr., Clarence Mayo, William Mayo and Bernard Mayo; and a sister, Frances France.

Wayne was a member of Glenwood Holiness Church, and spent many years working in construction.

Surviving are his children, Leslie Wayne "Buddy" Mayo II, Kathy Dickinson, Teresa (Terri) Pacheco, William James "Billy" Mayo, Rita McKinney, Terry Worley, Lorene Allen, Wesley Worley, Katherine Brown; sisters, Theresa Webb, Wanda Reid and Margaret Moore; brothers, James "Donnie" Mayo, Mike Mayo and Johnny Mayo; 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Phillip Wright.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
