He was an avid outdoorsman, and spent his happiest hours hunting and fishing with friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Carey Crowder and a brother, Tommy Crowder.

He is survived by special friends and caregivers, Michael and Vicki Grist of Millboro, Adam Grist (Katie) of Marietta, GA, and Samatha Stein (Nathan) of Richmond; a niece, Lea Crisman of Denver, CO; and a sister-in-law, Sissy Crowder of Grottoes.

Thank you to his caregivers, Frances Wolfe, Joe Grimm, Ruth Seal, and Sheena Landrum.

Warren's family will hold a public graveside funeral service on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Thornrose Cemetery, Staunton, with Reverend Lloyd Via officiating. Interment will immediately follow. There will be no formal visitation. However, friends may call anytime at the residence.
