Franklin Austin Ferguson, 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Friday, October 22, 2021.

Mr. Ferguson was born July 26, 1933, in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Samuel Z. and Ruth Austin Ferguson.

Mr. Ferguson was the last surviving child of 12 and retired from Reeves Brothers following 26 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eva "Allene" Vest Ferguson.

He is survived by two sons, Keith Austin Ferguson Sr. and wife, Melissa and Anthony "Tony" William Ferguson; a daughter, Kathy Ferguson Rogers; seven grandchildren, Keith Austin Ferguson Jr. and wife, Holly; Christopher "Shane" Ferguson and wife, Meghan; Brian Wayne Shifflett, Matthew Scott Ferguson, Amy Kay Rogers, Mckenzie Ava Ferguson and Brody William Ferguson; and six great-grandchildren, Faith, Noah, Grace, Kathleen, Nolan and Levi along with a special niece, Linda Gay Ferguson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 28 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dean Staton.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
