Jeffery Shannon Irvine, 46, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, October 21, 2021 at his home after a two-year fight against cancer and with his family by his side.

He was born on September 6, 1975 in Annapolis, Md., a son of Charles Edward Irvine and Colleen Eckenbarger Irvine.

He had a love for all forms of shooting sports such as target shooting, sporting clays and hunting. He also enjoyed maintaining the yard and flower beds. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his family, whether it was watching his kids play their favorite sport or watching a Baltimore Ravens game.

Surviving are his wife, Carrie Irvine; children, Austin Irvine (Makayla), Kyle Irvine, Hailey Irvine and Clayton Irvine; two grandchildren, Hudson Marshall and Finley Irvine; sisters, Jamie Grue (Tim) and Katie Richardson; brothers-in-law, Jason Carver (Jennifer) and Jamie Carver (Lisa); and six nieces and six nephews.

Visitation will be the evening of Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Irvine Estate. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 27, at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (BCAN).
