Obituary for Frank Edwin Kruszyna Frank Edwin Kruszyna
Covington Resident Died October 20, 2021

Frank Edwin Kruszyna, of Covington, Virginia, passed away October 20, 2021.

He was the only child of Chester and Nancy Kruszyna of Covington, Virginia.

His grandparents were Hubert and Mary Emma Cox of Covington.

Frank is survived by first cousins, Anne Epting, Jean Blackmon, Carol Pursley and Charles Dressler.

He had two best friends for life, Roscoe Stephenson (Tammy) and Jesse Hand. All of us were lucky enough to spend summers with Frank in Covington and Clearwater Park. We swam, biked, watched the trains, played board games and went to Dairy Queen. Our grandparents took us to see the many beautiful and historic parts of Virginia. We were bonded for life.

Frank was a loving, caring man with a delightful sense of humor, a hard worker, and a rabid Hokies fan. He was a talented photographer and a lover of animals and ranch dressing.

He was devoted to his 20 year partner, Francie Sutphin, and was her sole caregiver for the duration of her debilitating illness. We want to acknowledge Amy Bender for her help and caring for both Francie and Frank.

He enriched our lives in many ways and he will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

There will be a Zoom celebration of life at a later time.
