On November 2, 2021, Rose Lilian Hughes, age 90, passed away peacefully at home in Lexington, Virginia. Her daughter and caregiver, Janet Hughes was at her side.

A native of London, Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Hughes, Royal Navy veteran, who probably greeted her in Heaven, ready to resume their favorite ballroom dance, the Foxtrot.
