Former C&O Hospital Record Keeping Clerk Was Longdale United Methodist Church Member

Peggy Ann Powell Robinson, age 92, of 206 Stacks Lane, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home with her loving family by her side.

She was born September 23, 1929 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to the late Howard Lee Powell and Margaret Ann Phillips Powell.

She was a record keeping clerk for the Chesapeake and Ohio Hospital as well as a very active member of Longdale United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She loved sewing and spending time with her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Richard Robinson, Sr; a sister, Ruby Pursley; and a brother, Howard L. Powell, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Ann Bay and husband, Jim, Karen Denise Robinson and husband, Web, both of Clifton Forge; two sons, Earnest Richard Robinson, Jr. of Clifton Forge and Gary Wayne Robinson and wife, Jeannette of Bolar, Va; a sister, Frances Nicely of Clifton Forge; a brother, Bobby Powell of Richmond, Va; five grandchildren, Derrick Robinson, Sarah Broughman, Daniel Robinson, Kimberly Unroe, Caitlin Williams and husband, Mike; five great grandchildren, Kaleb Williamson, Gabriel Broughman, Eliza Unroe, Paden Cason and Devin Snyder; three great-great grandchildren, Elias, Pharyn, and Ellie Williamson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nurses at Intrepid Hospice and especially mom's "angel", Alyssa Rexrode, for their compassionate care.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Virgil Woodie and Reverend Charlie Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home.
