Mary Catherine Critzer Moore, 89, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, was born in Waynesboro on February 27, 1932, and passed peacefully on November 30, 2021 in Dillwyn, Virginia.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel "Lovie" Herbert Critzer Jr. and Margaret Christine Roberts Critzer; a brother, Samuel "Bobby" H. Critzer III; and husband, Jake Alexander Moore.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and David Brown of Carmel, Ind.; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Angela Moore of Buckingham; son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Deborah Moore of Natural Bridge; son and daughter-in-law, James and Janice Moore of Natural Bridge; daughter, Linette Dudley of Salem; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Paula Moore of Christiansburg; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Seay Johnson and Gloria Boblett Rickman; and sisters-in-law, Elsie Fox and Judy Woody.

Catherine was strong, determined and hard working. During their 61 years of marriage, Jake and Catherine welcomed six children, for whom Catherine dedicated her life to homemaking, loving and supporting.

A burial service will be conducted at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens on December 6 at 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life gathering at Natural Bridge Christian Fellowship, 21 Gilmores Mill Road, Natural Bridge Station. Refreshments will be provided.
