Susan Coe Tucker died November 19, 2021 in Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital, surrounded by family.

She was born in 1938 in the Stonewall Jackson House (Lexington, Virginia) as it was then the site of the hospital bearing his name.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Dunlap Coe and Wilson Park Coe, and by her infant sister, Frances Dean Coe.

Susan is survived by four children, Susan Alexander Barfield (Craig) of White Lake, N.C., Ann Tucker Burkholder (Paul) of Winchester, John Randolph Tucker Jr. (Sharon) of Manilla, Philippines, and Wilson Coe Tucker (Cyndi) of Lexington; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life and internment in Oak Grove Cemetery (formerly known as Stonewall Jackson Cemetery) will take place at a later date.
