Lewisburg Native Dies At Age 64

William (O.J/Juice) Michael Woodson, Sr. of Huntington, West Virginia, was born July 9, 1957 and raised in Lewisburg, West Virginia.

He died on December 13, 2021.

He was a father, son, brother, grandfather, uncle, and a great friend.

William's passing is a celebration of life not an end to his legacy. Even though his life was filled with many obstacles, the simpliest pleasures in life made him happy and you could see that through his smile.

He is preceeded in death by his parents, Charles Russell Woodson, Jr (father) and Mary Sylvia Woodson (mother). He is survived by a son, William "Mikey" Woodson, Jr. and daughter, Mary Woodson, both of Covington, VA; his brother, Charles "Bo Bo" Woodson Sr. of Fairmont, WV; three grandchildren, Shawn "SJ" Dalton-Boyd, Jr., Nevaeh Love Gates, and Zayden Woodson, all of Covington, Va; his nephew, Kenneth "K.C." Woodson Sr. of Jackson County, WV; his niece, Marie Woodson Harper of Spencer, WV; great nephews and nieces, Kenneth Woodson Jr., Alexia Woodson, Samantha Woodson, Paul Woodson, Jackie Harper, Marques Harper, and Mariah Williams; lifelong friends Stanley Wilmer and Richard Baxter; recent friends, Donnie Thomas, Statton Wolfe, and Richard Nutter.

Special thanks to Minister Helen Wolfe and the New Day Church Congregation for welcoming him into their congregational family. There will be a celebration of life ceremony conducted at a future date.
