Obituary for Amelia Inez Mattson Bradley Amelia Inez Mattson Bradley
Longtime Teacher Was Accomplished Poet

Amelia Inez Mattson Bradley, age 89, of 419 Pine Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia and formerly of Chardon, Ohio, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at The Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation, Low Moor, Virginia.

She was born October 6, 1932 in Connecticut to the late Walter and Paula Haller Mattson.

She received her Master's degree and was a teacher for the Ohio Public Schools, Geauga Christian School in Middlefield, OH, and the Painesville Christian Academy in Painesville, OH.

She was also an accomplished poet, known for her Christmas poems, and was published in the Virginian Review and the Geauga Courier.

She loved knitting, crocheting, and cooking. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed canning food from her garden, and was a devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalie Mattson Oldrieve.

She is survived by her husband, Orrin Bradley of Clifton Forge; three daughters, Heather Bradley Scheer, Holly Bradley Foecking, and Laurel Bradley; two grandchildren, Noel Foecking Passerell and Nolan Foecking; great grandchildren, Ellie and Elin Passerell, Henry and Isla Foecking; and nieces and nephews, Robin Cochran, Randy Oldrieve, Richard Oldrieve, Lonn Bradley, Tracey Bradley, Brook Bradley, Tanja Geise, Kelly Boytar, Flex Bradley, and Rex Bradley.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday evening, January 8, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Painesville Assembly of God Church in Painesville, 10949 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Painesville, OH 44077 with Pastor Aaron Taylor officiating. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
