Mary Frances Downey Richmond, age 84, of 800 West Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, December 26, 2021 in Bedford County, Virginia.

She was born June 21, 1937 in Alleghany County to the late Roy Taft Downey and Elsie Vandevender Downey.

Mary was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Covington.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Richmond; two brothers, Roy Downey and Ralph Downey; and a sister, Victoria Prior.

She is survived by six sons, Wayne Richmond of Hot Springs, Dale Richmond of Clifton Forge, Timmy Richmond and wife, Norma of Clifton Forge, Willie Richmond of Kentucky, Jimmy Richmond of Clifton Forge, and Mason Richmond, Jr. of Bedford; a number of sisters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. No formal services have been scheduled at this time.
