Helena Virginia Buckland Shannon, age 82, of 108 Meadows of Wilson Court, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington.

She was born February 5, 1939 in Beckwith, West Virginia to the late Elijah Marshall and Martha Elizabeth Hall Buckland and was a homemaker throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, Stewart Edward Shannon of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Martha Shannon of Clifton Forge and Helena Catron of Covington; a son, Stewart E. Shannon II of Clifton Forge; and a number of grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time.
