Clifton Forge Resident Was Vietnam Veteran, Garten Trucking Driver

Everett Lee Dearing, age 74, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt 615, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at The Woodlands Health and Rehab Center in Clifton Forge.

He was born August 17, 1947 in Alleghany County, Virginia to the late Everett C. and Lois Maxine Kimberlin Dearing, but was raised in the home of Thomas Bethel.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a truck driver for Garten Trucking.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid Washington football team fan.

He is survived by his partner of 29 years, Esther Thurston of Selma; two special friends, Larry Howard of Selma and Rusty Saville of Clifton Forge; a sister, Kay Alexander of Oregon; and two nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated.

There are no services planned at this time.
