Obituary for Frank Lemon Vance, Jr. Frank Lemon Vance, Jr.
Former Lawrence Transportation Truck Driver Was Lewisburg Resident

Mr. Frank Lemon Vance, Jr., age 83, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, died Friday, January 21, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Vance was born December 15, 1938 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Frank Lemon Vance, Sr. and Pansy Mae Griffith Vance.

During his working career, he had been employed as a truck driver by Lawrence Transportation where he went by the CB handle, "Huckleberry".

In his spare time, Mr. Vance loved traveling, enjoyed fishing and loved to watch sports. Frank especially enjoyed watching his favorite NASCAR driver, the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr. as well as his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge and truly enjoyed spending time with his friends there.

Mr. Vance is survived by a son, William W. Vance; four daughters, Sonja Harrison, Audrey Buchannon and husband, Allen, Beverly Clark and husband, Donnie and Karen Vance; grandchildren, April Harrison, Brian Harrison, Anthony Harrison, Franky Vance, Jessica Caldwell, Jared Caldwell, Crystal Livesay, Jennifer Worrel, D. J. Clark, Krystie Clark, Bryttnie Clark, Treyce Clark, Justin Tucker, Brandon Tinson and Lacey Tinson; seventeen great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Bowyer and Barbara Ford and husband, Doug; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Vance was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Lewis Vance and Ralph Warren Vance.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Loving Funeral Home, Covington, VA.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
