Stephen Lewis Whitmer, age 67, of 1725 Main Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Monday, January 24, 2022 at LewisGale Hosital – Alleghany in Low Moor, Virginia.

He was born September 13, 1954 in Clifton Forge to the late Oscar Lewis and Marjie Hostetter Whitmer.

He was a self-employed construction carpenter, who loved woodworking and could build anything.

He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Bonnie Finny, Tilly Wood, and Ronnie Wood.

He is survived by a sister, Bridgett Randozzo and husband, Joe of Millboro; a niece, Bonnie Kruger and husband, John; a nephew, Joseph Randozzo and wife, Trista; three great nieces, Aleathea Kruger, Catherine Kruger, and Adaline Kruger; and a great nephew, Walker Randozzo.

In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
