Lexington Resident Dies At Age 38

Jaclyn Nicole Hostetter, 38, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022, around 3 a.m. surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, Shelia Arnett (Earl Arnett) and George Anello (Renata Anello).

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Emily Hostetter (Matthew White), Brooke Hostetter, and Christopher Hostetter; her husband, Chris Hostetter; her half-siblings, Elizabeth Arnett and Amber Rendon; stepbrother, Earl Arnett Jr.; her siblings-in-law, Stacey Hernandez (Justin Higgins) and Tommy Hostetter (Brandy Hostetter); and her many nieces and nephews.

Jaclyn had recently started a new job at HomeRecovery-HomeAid Inc. as a recruiter. Before that she had worked for American Retirement Homes for over 12 years.

She loved to care for others, especially the elderly.

Jaclyn loved to spend any warm day she could at the river and had wishes to travel the country this upcoming summer. Jaclyn touched the lives of many different people in many different communities.

In the last few months of her life, Jaclyn had been advocating for education of healthcare workers about domestic violence. Jaclyn has and will continue to impact the lives of the people who knew her.

Jaclyn's service will be held February 5 at 3 p.m. at the Buena Vista Fire Department, 2010 Sycamore Ave., Buena Vista, VA 24416.
