William Henry Wood Jr., 85, of Vesuvius, Virginia, died Monday, January 24, 2022 at his home.

Born February 12, 1936 in Vesuvius, he was a son of the late William Henry Wood Sr. and Arie Plutz Wood.

He attended Mt.Zion Baptist Church, and worked in the lawn care business.

Surviving are his siblings, Faye Hanger, Floyd H. Wood, Ruth Garber and Barbara Derr, all of Vesuvius, and Evelyn Entsminger of Colonial Heights.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
