Jeanette Carol Thomas Powell of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg.

She was a loving mother, sister, grandparent, great-grandparent, aunt, friend, and neighbor to many and will be dearly missed.

Born at Crouch's Farm, Oceana, WV on September 4, 1939, she was the daughter of the late David Arthur Thomas and Anna Elizabeth Lusher Thomas.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Aidan Neupert and spouse, Nash Powell.

Children include two sons, Maxel Dwayne Osborne (Linda) of Norcross, Georgia and Michael Douglas Osborne (Jill) of Dawson, West Virginia; grandchildren, Carissa Neupert (Trey), Samatha Hagood (Tracey), Ethan Obsborne (Caitlin), and Michaela Lazo.

Siblings include Jacqueline Perkins of Boyce, VA, Ray Thomas of Hedgesville, WV, Juanita Thomas of Clintonville, WV, Judith Gilkeson of Clintonville, WV, Jean Thomas of Charleston, WV, and Joan Via of Roanoke, VA. She also fondly loved her nephews and nieces.

Great-Grandchildren: Josie and Ellie Neupert, Evie and Tallulah Hagood, Kyran Lazo and baby boy, Osborne on the way.

Jeanette was a member of Sunrise United Methodist Church, Clintonville, WV.

She was a retired Greenbrier County School teacher and LPN in Summers County, WV.

Jeanette loved Christmas and celebrating this most special time of year. She especially enjoyed her flower garden and displaying ion the State Fair of WV.
