George Franklin Simmons, 81, of Lewisburg, West Virginia, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Born November 17, 1940 in Mabscott, WV, he was the son of the late Nora Ann Simmons Hatcher.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Erma Simmons; sons, Ray Simmons (Annette) of Frankford, WV, and Paul Simmons of Lewisburg, WV; daughter, Margaret Ann Carver (Mark) of Lewisburg, WV; sisters, Martha Colleran of Michigan and Nora Lee Finney of Virginia; sister-in-law, Phyllis Burns of Lewisburg, WV; grandchildren, Lakene Bostic, Cameron Simmons (Lindsey), Dustin Simmons, Madeline Carver, Mason Carver, Damion Simmons and Noel Ryder and a great grandson, Jordan Simmons.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Vince Deeds officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Ft. Spring, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
