Barbara Ann Chambers Hodge, age 76, of 13954 Mansarde Avenue, Apt. 358, Herndon, Virginia died Sunday, February 28, 2022 at Reston Hospital I Reston.

She was born February 12, 1946 in Low Moor, Virginia to the late Polk Howard Chambers and Bertha Geneva Hughes Chambers.

She was a nursing assistant, and traveled with her job for thirty years. She enjoyed cooking, dancing, and music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Nathaniel Bradford Hodge.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Carter and special friend, Eric Barksdale; two sons, Anthony Hodge and Derrick Hodge and wife, Jill; two sisters, Peggy Green and Dr. Carmen Chambers Nash; three brothers, Robert Chambers and wife, Mary, Dino Chambers, and Darnell Chambers and wife, Pam: six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Nancy, Evelyn, and Francis.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Arlene Cooper officiating and Reverend Dr. Ronald O. Baker to deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon one hour prior to the service at Nicely Funeral Home.
