John Edward McDaniel, 86, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Sunday, March 6, 2022 at his home.

Born November 27, 1935 in Natural Bridge Station, he was a son of the late Robert Lee McDaniel and Frances Ginger McDaniel.

He was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and retired from Centel as a supervisor with 40 years of service.

John served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia M. McDaniel; children, Ginger McDaniel and Greg McDaniel; one granddaughter, Quinn Raffeinner; and best friend, Paul.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11 at Glasgow Cemetery by the Rev. William Thomas.

A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at Harrison Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450.
