James Ora (Butch) Montgomery Jr., 74, of Lexington, Virginia, died Thursday, March 10, 2022 at his home.

Born May 5, 1947 in Lexington, he was a son of James Ora Montgomery Sr. and Nancy Rowsey Montgomery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Zollman Montgomery.

James retired as a lead lineman with Dominion Power.

Surviving are his children, Jason Montgomery (Sarah), Amy Fitzgerald (Willie) and Justin Cole Montgomery; thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
