Thomas (Tommy) Jackson Henson, 86, of Buena Vista, Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 10, 2022.

He was born February 19, 1936 to the late Leonard J. Henson and Pauline Goff Henson.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Mildred Wright Henson; and son, Stephen W. Henson.

He is survived by children, David T. Henson, Andy Henson, James Thomas Hatter, Joy H.W. Ellis and Joseph Matthews Henson; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Mary Roberts and Sue McDaniel Moore; and his beloved cat, Binks.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
