Obituary for Reginald (Reggie) Eugene Carter, Jr. Reginald (Reggie) Eugene Carter, Jr.
Alleghany High School Graduate Was Clifton Forge Native, WestRock Employee

Reginald (Reggie) Eugene Carter, Jr., 48, of Clifton Forge, Virginia passed away peacefully on March 15, 2022 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, Salem, VA.

He was born November 10, 1973 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to Cynthia M. Carter and the late Reginald Eugene Carter, Sr.

Reggie was a graduate of Alleghany High School. He was employed by WestRock.

Reggie also resided in Florida for several years.

Above all, Reggie was passionate about his family, especially his two daughters. With a constant smile on his face, Reggie greeted everyone with a fist bump. He had a genuinely sweet and caring attitude. He was kind and never met a stranger. He loved old school rap and showing off his rap talents "or lack thereof".

He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles, UNC Tarheels, Florida State Seminoles, and LA Lakers fan.

Reggie had no reservations of telling and showing his band of brothers that he loved them. His life was truly our blessing. Reggie will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. The biggest cookouts we had were because of his presence. Everyone would come from all over to celebrate with us. During his entire life, he never called his mom, mom, in fact, until he took his last breath, he called her "mommy."

He was predeceased by his father, Reginald Eugene Carter, Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, "mommy" Cynthia Carter of Clifton Forge, VA; his daughters, Jasmine (Johnny) Carter and Michelle Carter of Columbus Ohio; four sisters, Tanya (B. Lawrence) Walker of Troy, VA, Trina Edwards and Tasha (Robbie) Burks of Clifton Forge, VA, Kirsha Ray and Geena Ray of Roanoke, VA; eight nieces and nephews: Lawrence Walker, Lewis Walker, Chloe Walker, Dre Edwards, Dayja Edwards, Tatiana Bolden, Zamir Bolden, and Eli Ray-Jones; three great-niece and nephews: Brayden Walker, Amarii Walker, and Hykeem Edwards; girlfriend, Christy Jordan (Lou) and her children, RJ, JR, and Jasmine (Zy) Jordan, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends whom he called his brothers.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Nicely's Funeral Home, 405 Alleghany Street, Clifton Forge, VA.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery. Repast for clergy, family, and close friends will be held at Family Tree T's Café, 100 Old Church Street, Low Moor, VA.
