James Edward (Jimmy) O_Conner, 61, of 5280 Ogles Creek Road, Covington, Virginia, died Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. O'Conner was born December 4, 1960 in Alleghany County, a son of the late Charles B. O'Conner and Marie Graham O'Conner.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Christie Justice and two brothers, Wilbur O'Conner and Bobby O'Conner.

Jimmy worked for several years with Hammond-Mitchell Inc as a foreman.

Surviving is his wife, Danette Weeks O'Conner of Covington; two sons, Cody O'Conner and Molly of Selma, Tristan O'Conner and Jess of Belspring; an adopted son, Logan McCoy of Covington; two grandchildren, Izaike O'Conner and Gracelynn Owens, both of Covington; three sisters, Charlene Pierce and husband, Jay of Covington, Lisa Keene and husband, Darian of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Deloris Barretto and husband, Roland of Evans, GA; and number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Hoke Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Shorty Wolfe officiating.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home.
