Phyllis Carol Wright, 70, of 309 Treetop Dr., Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Wright was born May 25, 1951 in Alleghany County, a daughter of Phoebe Tucker Albright and the late Leonard Wright.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lacy Marcus and a brother, Ersel Wright.

Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters, Lori Marcus and Janet Walton and Mitchell Curry, all of Covington; a son, Eric McCoy of Concord, NC; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; her father-in-law, Joe Albright; two sisters, Janice Long of Concord, NC and Barbara Crisp of Oak Island, NC; a brother, Leonard W. Wright of Lexington, Havilah L. McCoy of Hot Springs; a number of nieces and nephews; and two special nurses Cassandra and Amor.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with Alfred Smith officiating.

The interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Arritt Funeral Home.
