Kenneth Wayne Hartless, 57, of Buena Vista, Virginia, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at his residence.

Born June 13, 1964 in RockbridgeCounty, he was the son of the late Anna Lucille Hartless.

Kenneth graduated from the old Rockbridge High School where he played football. He then went on to dedicate his life to the U. S. Navy from where he retired.

Kenneth gave 15 years of service to VMI as the operations manager for the dining hall.

Surviving are his wife, Angie Hartless; three children, Jamie Wayne Hartless, Christopher Simpkins, and Jeremy Barr; and two grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. David Bain officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 20 at Bolling, Grose and Lotts Funeral Home.
