Obituary for Elmer Clinton Knick Elmer Clinton Knick
Army Veteran Served During The Korean War; Was Longtime Flowers Bread Company Employee

Elmer Clinton Knick, 67, of Lexington, died Sunday, March 26, 2006 in the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Knick was born on December 1, 1938 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late John Bolivar and Ottie Higgins Knick.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Korean War.

He was a member, deacon and elder of the Ebenezer A.R.P. Church.

Mr. Knick worked for the Flowers Bread Company for 28 years and was currently employed by Southern States in Lexington.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Estel Knick and Samuel Knick and a sister, Dorothy Dooley.

Mr. Knick is survived by his wife, Patricia Hostetter Knick and a son, Shon Dwayne Knick, both of Lexington; and eight brothers and sisters: Evelyn Knick of Lexington; Marie Canady of Goshen; Carl Knick, John Henry Knick, Marjorie Plogger, all of Lexington; Christine Blankenship of Richmond; Richard Knick of Danville and Patricia Magee of Lexington.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
