Nancy Brown Johnson Weigand, 86, of Buena Vista, died at home on March 30, 2006 after an extended illness.

She was born in the ancestral home in the Davis Mill area of Bedford County on March 5, 1920.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 58 years, C. Owen Weigand; two sons: William A. Wells of Alexandria, VA; and James M. Weigand of Richmond, VA; and her brother, Richard A. Johnson of Fredericksburg, VA.

She is also survived by three grandchildren: Rebecca A. Wells, Benjamin A. Wells and George D. Haskins, Jr.

Nancy was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Kimberly Elizabeth Wells.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2006 in the Green Hill Cemetery in Buena Vista, Virginia, followed by a memorial service at 2:45 p.m. at the St. John's Methodist Church in Buena Vista with Rev. Deborah Koontz officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge Area Hospice.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, Buena Vista.
