Obituary for Lucille J. Gearhart Lucille J. Gearhart
Worked For Sears In Lexington For 35 Years

Lucille J. (Jarvis) Gearhart, 80, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006 in the Carrington Place at Botetourt Commons in Daleville, where she had resided since January of this year.

Mrs. Gearheart was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, King L. Gearheart.

She was a daughter of the late Joseph D. and Bessie H. Jarvis.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Robert Jarvis, Max Jarvis, Elizabeth (Lib) Bowyer, Isabelle Greenwood and Margaret Agnor.

Mrs. Gearheart worked for Sears in Lexington for approximately 35 years.

She served her church, Timber Ridge A. R. P., as Sunday School Treasurer for many years and was a member of the Ladies Circle.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Dale Brown of Daleville; her son, Keith D. Gearheart, of Staunton; two granddaughters: Kimberly Hall and her husband, Tommy of Roanoke; and Kelly Shaffer and her husband, Mark of Martinsburg, WV; and her grandson, J. Tyler Gearheart of Waynesboro.

She is also survived by two great granddaughters: Reagan Hall and Grace Shaffer.

Mrs. Gearheart was predeceased by a grandson, Joshua Ryan Gearheart. She is survived by two sisters: Ressa J. Hickman of Gloucester and Josephine Bywaters of Dunbar, WV, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday,April 4, 2006 at the Harrison Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Timber Ridge A.R.P. Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Timber Ridge A. R. P. Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
