Was Training Coordinator For the USDA

Lillian Daphine Turner Brooks, 62, of Temple Hills, MD, formerly of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 in the Inova Hospital in Alexandria, VA.

Mrs. Brooks is the daughter of the late John Archie Turner and Annie Mae Leach Turner, born on January 28, 1944.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. as a training coordinator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters: Archie, Clinton, Florence, Sarah and Ethel.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, John W. Brooks; two daughters, Trinity and Janice and one granddaughter, A-Tyra.

Her surviving brothers and sisters are: Julies, Frances, Janice and John.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Edward Shambry, Jr. at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Lexington. Before the services, the family will receive friends from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by the Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
