Obituary for Eric Roscoe Hostetter Eric Roscoe Hostetter
Was C&O Railroad Car Inspector

Eric Roscoe Hostetter, 73, of 105 Stacks Lane, Clifton Forge, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at his residence.

He was born on November 17, 1932 in Rockbridge County, a son of the late Oakey M. and Elsie Clark Hostetter.

He retired from the C&O Railroad as a car inspector. He was an Army veteran.

He is survived by three daughters: Kathy Hayslett of Iron Gate; Vicki Burton and husband, Buddy of Sarasota, Florida; and Tammy Hostetter of Clifton forge; one son, Eric M. Hostetter Sr. and wife, Tina of Clifton Forge; nine grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents with his mother having just passed away in December of 2004.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Nicely Funeral Home with Reverend Louis Dodd officiating.

Interment will follow in the Central Advent Christian Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be friends attending the service. Covington Post #1033 VFW will present military rites at the graveside.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
